Father Joel Hampton, SSC


Fr. Joel was born in Austin, Texas and raised in Oklahoma and Tennessee, graduating from high school and college in Nashville. After taking a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, he earned a Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri and served for eight years as a Chaplain in the United States Air Force, with assignments in Abilene and San Antonio, Texas as well as Greenland and Germany.

Following his military service, Fr. Joel attended Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin, where he received a Diploma in Anglican Studies. From July 2008 through September 2012, Fr. Joel served as Rector of St. Andrew's Church in Breckenridge, Texas. He is a member of the Society of the Holy Cross (currently serving as Local Vicar), the Guild of All Souls, the Catholic Clerical Union, the Diocesan Commission on Ministry, the Diocesan Risk Management Committee, the Diocesan Executive Council, and the Diocesan Standing Committee.  Additionally, Fr. Joel is a Priest Associate of the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham and a member of Forward in Faith, North America.  He enjoys biking, jogging, movies, reading, travel, food, and sports.

Shelly, Fr. Joel's wife, earned her BSN degree from Tarleton State University and works as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at a hospital in Fort Worth. Shelly is also enrolled in a Master's degree program, seeking to become a Nurse Practitioner.  Fr. Joel and Shelly have four children, Noah, Mia (married to Taylor), Eli, and Heath, and two grandchildren, Marshall and Eloise. The Hamptons reside in Willow Park.

Father Joseph Scalisi, SSC

Fr. Joseph was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Thereupon, he earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Louisiana State University. After a time of working as a professional counselor, he discerned a call to overseas work, where he served as a teacher in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania under the auspices of Jesuit Volunteers International.

Fr. Joseph attended Nashotah House Theological Seminary and was ordained in the Diocese of Quincy (Central Illinois) in 2007. He was received into the Diocese of Fort Worth in 2011 and served as Assistant at St. Alban’s Parish in Arlington, Texas until 2015.

Erin, Fr. Joseph’s wife, earned her degree from Vienna Conservatoire, and is a choir director in Irving, Texas. They live in Arlington and have two children, Katie and Andrew.
